Hello!

I am a retired educator with 30 years of experience in Special Education as a teacher, compliance specialist and Exceptional Children's director in North Carolina and Virginia. I  am also a parent and grandparent of children who required an IEP throughout their school years. My bachelor's degree is in Secondary English and immediately added a Master's degree in Special Education when I realized my son was struggling in school and I could not understand all of the legalese they were using to explain my son's challenges. As the years went by I added school administration licensure while in Virginia and then in NC and have been in leadership roles for the majority of my career.
