Inclusivity and Adaptability
By the end of the program, students will….

Ask for help confidently when needed with less prompting at We Belong
-
Identify situations that require them to employ emotional regulation skills and successfully utilize adaptive coping strategies while at We Belong
-
Actively participate in conflict resolution and successfully resolve at least one conflict throughout the program with or without the assistance of a staff member

Empowerment
By the end of the program, students will…
-
Effectively advocate for their needs by assertively communicating them to staff or peers in a respectful manner throughout the program duration
-
Meet at least 50% of their personal goals outlined in their IAP by the end of the first quarter and 75% by the end of the school year with the support of staff and peers
-
Have an established leadership role by their second week at We Belong, these roles have a broad range based on ability and interest

Life Skills
By the end of the program, students will….
-
Demonstrate at least one new life skill in each of the following topics; culinary, gardening, emotional regulation, and social justice

Exhibit the ability to translate at least one skill learned at We Belong into a home/community setting
-
Fully participate in cleaning up after themselves with or without prompting from staff members after each activity

Belonging
By the end of the program, students will….

Participate in at least two community-engaged service-learning projects to enhance their sense of community
-
Articulate (verbal or non-verbal) understanding of social justice topics learned about at We Belong after each lesson
-
Engage in at least half of group activities and take initiative to involve others in activities at least once
