Hello!

Stephen Love serves as Director of the Olson Huff Center (OHC) autism program, Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Autism and Related Disorders. His clinical focus as a psychologist is concerned with diagnostic evaluation, assessment and consultation for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. He is particularly interested in the social/communicative development and social perceptions of individuals with autism. In approaching work with children and families, he appreciates the unique presentations and circumstances they bring to the setting and strive to individualize my approach to meet each family's needs. Prior to coming to Mission Children's, he had the good fortune to be employed by North Carolina's TEACCH program for 18 years, which allowed him to work with persons on the autism spectrum and their teachers and caregivers regionally, nationally and internationally on the Structured Teaching approach and behavior managements techniques. In addition to his autism work at the OHC, he conduct executive functioning (EF) evaluations on children with autism spectrum, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
He is married, and have three young adult sons. Together with their faithful golden retriever, Remy, the Love family enjoys a contented, active and fun lifestyle in the mountains of western North Carolina.
